How cultural factors shape the way you dress?

I think culture influence my character which shapes the way I dress. In this way, it is not that straight forward, but the impact is still made. In my country I did not always dressed as I wanted. I always tried to be a little different, stylish, but I never wanted to get too much attention, look ‘weird’ or cause some funny opinions, even thought in my head I have created a lot of outfits that I thought were cool, but I have never worn them. I think it was that way because of the judgmental people that society is full of and I have lived in quite small city, there everyone knows each over and see all the time. I have tried to be braver as I get older, but sometimes I think I was braver then I was a kid. Then I came to London, I became braver, because here there are a lot more people, who dress crazy, very stylish, over the top, etc. Nobody knows me, I can be someone else everyday and nobody cares. In conclusion, I believe my style, the way I dress is mostly influenced by society in which I am.
