The methodology discussed by Valerie Steele in the article:

  2. Make deductions about the item of clothing – imagine what it might be like to wear this item of clothing, considering if it is heavy, if it might be uncomfortable etc.

  3. Speculate about this item of clothing – using your broader knowledge of fashion, can you make an informed guess about when and where this garment originally came from – for example is it a home sewn dress from the 1950s, or a modern sweatshirt from H&M? Also tell us where you think this garment might be worn – perhaps in a nightclub or a gym? Explain why you think this.

It is a black, man’s coat. The coat is made of wool and polystyrene. The lining of coat is made of polystyrene and viscose. It is medium size coat, its length – 83 cm. It is suitable to wear during the autumn/winter season.

I think this coat is very classy and smart, but at the same time comfortable, modern and may be used for various occasions. I think this piece of outerwear can elevate overall look or outfit. Coat seems to be not as heavy as a coat could be. It has a few pockets inside and out and it is very convenient for a wearer.

I believe this coat is made about 2-3 years ago since it is modern, very simple and has minimalistic aesthetics, design. This type of a design was and is very trendy in fashion and styling world since it makes clothes look classy and expensive. The brand of the coat – Fabio Veneti. I assume this black coat can be worn on daily basis as well as going out to various events and places: theatre, museums, formal meetings, dinners, dates etc. Man can take a lot of uses out of this coat, since it is black, very smart and classy, easy to wear and style with other pieces of clothing.
